Coastal scenery. Mud glorious mud! Bring your gaiters. Easiest walk in the South West which means generally difficult. No huts. Ironbounds crossed in good weather only. Prone to flooding making rivers and creeks uncrossable. Hence a wait until water levels drop. After writing that, it is a brilliant hike.

SUMMARY

At present (Feb 2021) entry to Walls of Jerusalem must be booked with PWS. Weather changes quickly on the Central Plateau. In the 5 days had snow flurries on Rogoona, frost at Junction Lake, heavy rain at Lake Myrtle, and warm, balmy weather in between.

Lees Paddocks Track

A track which varies considerably from an easy hike suitable for families to Lees Paddock but from there more difficult to Lake Ayr. Unusually warm weather with some rain at night. Navigation can be challenging from Reedy Lake to the Arm River Track
